- Dear Dave (and all):
-
- I wholeheartedly agree with your observations and suggested solution.
-
- The MacApp.Tech$ archives would seem provide a partial solution the the
- problem: they contain the past exchanges of code and information, but they do
- not seem to be the optimal solution.
-
- It would be much nicer to have a folder on AppleLink containing a sub-folder
- for each of the main MacApp types. Into these could be placed the descendent
- classes that provide the features that so many of us want. However, I think
- this could become a messy business, and it would certainly help to have an able
- administrator of the folder. I aggree that this would seem like a appropriate
- job for MADA.
-
- I think you hit the nail on the head when you say that we already have the
- ultimate solution to our problems: OOP. MacApp should really just provide the
- basic tools for construction. It is we, the construtors, that need to hone
- these tools to our needs. If MacApp were to incorporate the many (useful!)
- ideas that we have put forth, it would soon grow into monsterous proportions
- (as if it hasn't already).
